Parents are given the opportunity of preparing for
the Baptism of their children, while adults who may be seeking Jesus
Christ within the community of the Catholic Church can gather weekly
and become "catechumens" (learners) and absorb the faith and spirit
of the Catholic Church.
We believe that parents are the first teachers of
the faith and so share with their children their faith as they
prepare their children for Confirmation and Holy Communion. Sister
Francis Kelly co-ordinates these
programmes. She is also ably assisted by a willing band of
catechists.

May 2004 There are Catholics who become "Retired Catholics".
This happens for any number of diverse reasons, but whatever the
reason, the Parish is always willing to welcome those who want to
look at the church with a more mature outlook, and who may perhaps
become an active Catholic once again. Everyone is welcome to belong.
